We wanted to eat cheesy-cheesy stuff . So made this rice pasta bake. This can be made with left over rice too..This can also be made with tomato sauce/red sauce or white sauce. I made with white sauce.
INGREDIENTS :
Tomatoes :- chopped into quarters 2-3
Spring onions :- 2-3 chopped finely
Onions :- 1 chopped
You can add whatever vegetables available like broccoli, red capsicum, yellow capsicum,green chillies
For white sauce :-
butter :- 1 teaspoons
Olive oil :- 1 teaspoon
Atta/wheat flour :- /2 cup
Milk :- 1 cup
Water :- as necessary
Garlic :- 10-12 flakes crushed.
Pepper :- 1/2 teaspoon
Olives :- chopped 5-6
Left over rice :- 2 cups
Pasta :- 1 cup
Mozzarella cheese :- to sprinkle on the rice-pasta mixture .
Tomato sauce :- 2 teaspoon
Pasta seasoning (keya) :- 2 teaspoons.
Chilli sauce :- teaspoons
Salt :- as required
METHOD :-
- Boil pasta and keep aside.
- Ina pan heat olive oil and butter together and add crushed garlic and fry for a minute.
- Add tomatoes , and other vegetables and fry for 3-4 minutes.
- Mix wheat flour and milk well and remove any lumps.
- Pour this mixture into the pan. Add water if necessary.
- Simmer it until the sauce thickens. Add salt.
- Now take a baking bowl and add rice and boiled pasta.
- Add this white sauce over it. Add tomato sauce, chilli sauce, and pasta seasoning and olives.
- Now sprinkle minced mozzarella on the baking and bake at 200 C for 10 minutes or until cheese melts or turns slight brownish
