Plain Palak


This lush green curry is full of iron ,vitamin A. This when eaten pureed and sauteed in garlic-ginger paste tastes like heaven !! :) and yeah it doesn't require much oil too :) . Here is recipe
INGREDIENTS :-
Palak /Spinach :- 4 large bunches
Ginger-Garlic paste:- 2 teaspoons
Onions :- 1 large
Tomatoes :- large 2
Green chillies :- 4-5(Adjust)
Turmeric :- a pinch
Cooking soda:- a pinch
Oil :- 1/2 tablespoon (As required)
Coriander leaves:- a bunch
Garam masala :- 1 teaspoon
METHOD :- 
  1. Wash palak well in salted water and boil it in a large container by adding a pinch of cooking soda.
  2. While it boils grind together ginger-garlic paste, onions, coriander leaves, green chillies into smooth paste.
  3. Take a pan add oil and heat it . Add paste of ginger-garlic-onion-chilly and saute it till rawness of the paste is gone.
  4. Grind tomatoes in a grinder and add this to already frying ginger-garlic-onion paste.
  5. Meanwhile check if palak is boiled. After it is puree palak in a grinder and add this to the pan and mix well.
  6. Add pinch of turmeric, garam masala , salt and simmer for 5-6 minutes by closing lid.
  7. Now open the lid and simmer for 5 more minutes.
  8. Have it hot with rice :)
