Simple aalo curry

Today morning I was feeling lazy . Thanks to the power cuts @Hyderabad during nights!!!  It gave me sleepless night.  However I decided to continue my passion of cooking for the day.  Made simple aalo curry and tomato chutney.

INGREDIENTS:-
Potatoes:  - Medium Sized (4-5)
Kothimeera/Cilantro/Coriander:  - 1 large bunch/2 small bunches
Green Chilies:  - 4-5 (Can be adjusted according to taste)
Olive oil or butter or any refined oil:  - 1 tablespoon
Salt:  - as required
Turmeric: a pinch
For popu/Tadka/seasoning:-
Chana dal/Bengal gram:  - a teaspoon
Urad dal/Black gram:  - teaspoon
Jeera: ½ teaspoon
Mustard seeds: ½ teaspoon
METHOD:-
  1. Cut the potatoes into two halves and allow them to boil in pressure pan or cooker
  2. In the meanwhile wash the coriander leaves thoroughly and grind together with green chilies and salt
  3. After 3 whistles, take the potatoes out allow them to cool and peel off their skin
  4. In a pan add oil and add the tadka.  After it’s done add potatoes mash them into small pieces in the pan
  5. Add the ground chilies-coriander-salt mixture and pinch of turmeric to potatoes
  6. Mix it well and allow it to simmer for 5 minutes
