Mulakkaya-Masala karam curry

Be it rasam,sambar,curry.....mulakkaya/drumstick rocks !!!! 
INGREDIENTS:-
Drumsticks:  - 3 long (cut into 2 inch pieces)
Tomatoes:  - 3 large ( cut into tiny pieces
Onions:- 2 large ( chopped finely )
Oil:  - 1 tablespoon
Red Chilies:  - 5-6 (can be adjusted according to spice)
Peanuts:  - ½ cup
Bengal gram/Pachi senaga pappu/ Chana Dal :- ½ cup
Black Gram/ Minapappu/ Urad dal :-1/2 cup
Dhaniya seeds/dhaniyalu:  - ½ cup (You could use dhaniya powder 1 ½ teaspoons instead)
Cumin seeds/jeera:-a little less than ½ cup (Again you can use jeera powder 1 tablespoon instead)
Garlic pods:  - 6-7 (can be adjusted according to flavor)
Copra/dried coconut/endu kobbari :- 1 large piece
Tamarind:  - Lemon sized ball.
Salt:  - As required

For popu/Tadka/seasoning:-
Chana dal/Bengal gram:  - a teaspoon
Urad dal/Black gram:  - teaspoon
Jeera: ½ teaspoon
Mustard seeds: ½ teaspoon
 METHOD:-
  1. Boil drumstick pieces in water for about 5-7 minutes untill they become tender and soft.
  2. Dry roast red chillies, Peanuts, Bengal Gram, Black gram, Dhaniya, cumin, Garlic pods, dried coconut.
  3. Grind them into fine powder.
  4. Add tamarind pulp and salt to the powder and make it a paste Adjust anything if needed.
  5. Now mix well tamarind pulp,salt,ground powder .
  6. In a pan take oil add tadka and allow it to splutter.
  7. Add onions and cook it till they turn golden brown.
  8. Add tomatoes to it and cook it until they are cooked well.
  9. Add drumsticks, tamarind-masala paste to the pan and add more water to improve consistency.
  10. Allow it to simmer for 5-6 minutes.
Have it with rice or roti
